Nexus Airlines Named Domestic Airline of the Year at Australian Aviation Awards

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our valued customers and partners—Nexus Airlines has been awarded the prestigious title of Domestic Airline of the Year at the Australian Aviation Awards! This incredible achievement marks a significant milestone for our airline, just over 12 months after our first commercial flight. 

 

A Recognition of Our Commitment 

This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of the entire Nexus Airlines team. When we launched the airline on the 17 May 2023, we set out with a clear mission: to enhance air connectivity across regional Western Australia by providing reliability, safety, and quality service. On the 10 July 2023, our first flights took off, and since then, we have proudly connected communities across the state and into the Northern Territory, offering a lifeline to those in remote and regional areas. 

Winning the Domestic Airline of the Year award is not just a reflection of our achievements over the past year — it’s an affirmation of our vision and values. We’ve always believed in the importance of affordable and reliable air travel for the prosperity of Western Australia’s regions, and this recognition reinforces our commitment to continue delivering on that promise. 

 

Connecting Regional WA: Our Journey So Far 

Since launching, Nexus Airlines has flown well over 70,000 passengers, making a significant impact on the regions we serve. With bases in Geraldton and Broome, we have established ourselves as Western Australia’s first truly regional airline. Our next generation De Havilland Dash 8 – Q400 aircraft, equipped with 76 seats, have become synonymous with speed, efficiency and comfort. We are proud to offer connections from Perth to the Mid-West and Kalgoorlie, the Mid-West to the Pilbara and Kimberley, and the Kimberley into the Northern Territory, facilitating travel for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. 

Our focus on customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to report that our customer feedback and on-time performance (OTP) have been identified as industry best practice. This, combined with our commitment to safety and service, has earned us the trust and loyalty of our passengers.

While we celebrate this incredible achievement, we recognise that our journey is just beginning. Nexus Airlines remains committed to upholding the high standards of customer service and reliability that have brought us to this point. We are excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead to further improve regional liveability and boost local economies through enhanced air connectivity.
