Discounted Fares for Regional Residents
The Regional Airfare Zone Cap scheme is an initiative by the WA State Government, making it easier to connect with loved ones, visit healthcare professionals, and access other essential services in Perth.
Under the updated scheme, regional airfares from Geraldton to Perth with Nexus Airlines are capped at a maximum cost of $398 return ($199 one-way) for low demand flights and $438 return ($219 one-way) for high demand flights.
Resident fares are not available for one-way flights. Passengers must complete a return journey into Perth, starting from Geraldton.
To access zone capped fares, search return flights from Geraldton to Perth and select ‘Book Resident Fare’ when prompted.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Verification of eligibility required. A declaration must be made at time of booking and the details may be passed on to the WA State Government for audit and enforcement purposes.
- Permanent residents of Regional WA (not Perth or Peel),
- Regional Zone Cap fares must be booked as a return flight to the same destination.
- Travel is for personal reasons only (not business travel or FIFO)

Low Demand Zone Cap Fares – $199
Available to book and travel now
- Permitted to make one free of charge reschedule
- $77 Cancellation Fee
- 23kgs of luggage included
- Residents can only book a maximum of 12 Zone Cap Fares annually
High Demand Zone Cap Fares – $219
Available to book and travel after 1 July
- From July 1 these fares will be available for sale up to 30 minutes prior to departure
- Permitted to make one free of charge reschedule
- $35 Cancellation Fee
- 23kgs of luggage included
- One free of charge name change
- Residents can only book a maximum of 12 Zone Cap Fares annually
