NexusGO: Supporting SHINE through new ‘Fly High’ Program

SHINE have created a new scholarship for young women through the support provided by NexusGO

SHINE has recently become a valued NexusGO Community Partner. Through NexusGO, instead of individual users benefiting from regular flying, the benefits flow into the regional communities – it is a frequent flyer program with a difference!

NexusGO Support Advances the SHINE Mission by:

• Proving access for students to attend development opportunities in Perth
• Sharing women in industry stories from our Nexus team

The support received through Nexus GO has enabled SHINE to create a new scholarship called Fly High. Designed to uplift young women, Fly High breaks down financial and logistical barriers, giving students the opportunity to attend forums, conferences, and workshops in Perth that would otherwise be out of reach.

SHINE is committed to helping young women rise above challenges, achieve their goals, and find a sense of belonging. Importantly, they are also representing Midwest women and young people in state and national conversations.

These development opportunities include NAIDOC conferences, Youth Affairs Summit, WACOSS conference, STEM Expos, CCI conferences and custom training that is not available in the region. Attending these conferences allows young women to learn, network and develop the next steps towards their dream careers

The knowledge each scholarship recipient learns doesn’t stop there. They will be asked to present back to the Emerging Women Network, sharing their learnings and insights so that the benefits of this investment extend to the wider community of women across the Midwest.
