NexusGO: Supporting the voice for vibrant, culturally strong and sustainable WA Art Centres
21 November 2025Through our recent NexusGO Community partnership with Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia (AACHWA), we are proud to stand alongside small-scale, yet high-impact, arts organisations as they work to build the creative and economic potential of their communities
AACHWA’s vision is to ensure that arts and culture remain at the heart of strong Aboriginal communities and Western Australian Aboriginal art is renowned, protected and celebrated locally, nationally and internationally. By working with WA Aboriginal art centres AACHWA promotes best practice, facilitates targeted training opportunities and encourages leadership within younger generations.
NexusGO Flight Support Advances the AACHWA Mission by:
- Proving access for artists to fly to and from events in the regions
- Allowing consultants to travel to aboriginal art centres
Aboriginal art centres are more than just a space for making art, they connect cultural knowledge and practices. They provide studio spaces and materials for artists to create their work and house archives of artworks. Much like commercial galleries in metropolitan centres, they represent artists, handle contracts and licencing; administration, business and marketing; and sales, commissions and exhibitions. Depending on their size, art centres also produce merchandise and other souvenir products and even collaborate with major fashion and commercial brands.
Western Australia is vast, and access can be challenging. That’s why Nexus Airlines is committed to supporting AACHWA by providing flight assistance, helping artists to attend events, educational opportunities and exhibitions.
Today, AACHWA supports more than 2,000 artists from over 40 communities across over 2 million square kilometres. If you would like to contribute to their mission of
