Partnering for Impact: Nexus Airlines and the JK Foundation

19 June 2026

At Nexus Airlines, connecting communities is about more than getting people from one place to another. It is about creating opportunities and making a real difference in the lives of regional Western Australians.

Our partnership with the JK Foundation is a great example of what that looks like in practice.

Over the past few years, we have supported the Foundation through in-kind flights, helping their team deliver programs across the Mid-West. From Kalbarri to Mullewa and Geraldton, that support has helped them reach more young people, expand their services, and respond to the needs of regional communities.

Our Group External Relations Manager, Kym Francesconi, says the partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting regional communities.

“Living and working in regional Western Australia, you see how distance can shape opportunity. Supporting the JK Foundation is one way we can help bridge that gap and make sure young people are not disadvantaged by where they live.”

What stands out most about the Foundation’s work is the impact it is having across the region.

Programs in communities such as Mullewa are helping improve school engagement and attendance, while youth diversionary initiatives in Geraldton are supporting young men to reconnect with education, family and community life.

In Kalbarri, the Foundation has become a trusted part of the community, providing regular activities and safe spaces where young people feel connected, supported and more confident in themselves.

The partnership has also helped open doors for young people pursuing sporting and personal development opportunities.

Through the Sports Assistance Program, young athletes from across the Mid-West have been supported with travel, mentoring and financial assistance to take the next steps in their sporting journey.

For many families, simply getting to trials, competitions or training can be a significant barrier. By supporting access to travel, we can help reduce that pressure and give young people the opportunity to pursue their goals.

According to JK Foundation Operations Manager Kent Morgan, the partnership has played an important role in helping the organisation expand its reach and impact.

“Your support has made a huge impact on our ability to develop and support programs, including improvements in school attendance, youth engagement and the establishment of youth services across the region. We are very thankful for our partnership over the last few years, as have the families in the Mid-West.”

We are proud to support the JK Foundation and the incredible work it continues to do across regional Western Australia. Together, we are helping create stronger, more connected communities and ensuring young people have access to the opportunities they deserve.
